3 Palms Zoo & Education Center

3 Palms Zoo & Education Center is an amazing experience for kids of all ages! We are Delaware’s largest Zoo, proudly housing the State’s only Alligator Exhibit, Eastern Coyote, & Silver Foxes! While here, you’ll have the opportunity to interact with exotic, domestic, & wild animals. Our mission is rescue & education; the animals on exhibit at 3 Palms have come here for sanctuary. Many of the animals are illegal, surrendered, or forgotten pets. While others are non releasable wild animals transferred by State licensed rehabilitators.

Zoo visitors can enjoy hand feeding and petting of the Llamas, Alpaca, Goats, Ducks, Sheep, Geese, Cows, Chickens, Pigs & Mini Pigs, Rabbits, Emus & Giant Tortoises. You’ll also see a Raccoon, Screech Owl, Skunk, Turkeys, Vultures, Turtles, Red, Silver & Gray Foxes, Eastern Coyote, Crow, Brown Pelicans, and many other rare & exotic Birds.

A wonderful addition at the zoo’s new location, is the 1/4 acre 10-ft deep pond where our Domestic & Canada Geese, Domestic & Muscovy Ducks, Cackling Geese, Mute Swan & Brown Pelicans enjoy swimming, feeding, and playing. The pond is also home to a large bale of Red Eared Sliders, & Northern Red-Bellied River Cooters. The pond is regularly visited by wild waterfowl; so it’s not uncommon to see Mallard Ducks, Blue Heron, Snow Geese, Rail, & Killdeer just to name a few.
